Membership Types - Therapeutic Recreation Ontario

Please note that all membership types are renewed annually in the same month each year.

Membership Type	Requirement
Professional $198	Currently practicing, supervising, educating, or on leave from the field of TR for a maximum of 3 years OR a recent graduate from Therapeutic Recreation program (eligible for 1 year after convocation date), and Does not hold the TRO designation.
Associate $165	Individuals who are interested in furthering the objectives of TRO and the TR profession, but are ineligible for an R/TRO Designation, Professional membership, or Student membership.
Student $70	Individuals who are pursuing a degree or diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation & Leisure Studies on a full-time basis. NOTE: Students who attend a school that has an EIP with TRO receive a FREE student membership. Make sure to apply your schools’ code at checkout.

Recognized post-secondary education institution offering courses in Therapeutic Recreation

Includes free student memberships for all enrolled full-time students plus one faculty TRO membership.

Once you are a Student member or Professional member of TRO, you may submit your application to receive your R/TRO Designation
